The next steps connect your free Cloudflare account and your domain. That means a copy-and-paste that is awkward on a phone. We have emailed you a link that opens your setup exactly where you are: open it on a laptop or desktop to finish smoothly. It takes about ten minutes there.
Connect your GitHub (optional)
Your site's code goes into your own GitHub, so you can edit it later by chatting with Claude Code, and every change publishes itself. Free to create if you do not have one. Skip it and your code comes to you as a zip download instead.
Connect your Cloudflare
Your site lives in your own free Cloudflare account, so it keeps running whatever happens to us.

We mean an address that ends in your web address, like you@yourbusiness.co.uk. A free inbox like yourbusiness@gmail.com is not affected and is completely fine.

We won't risk moving your work email
Your website is easy to move, but email on your own domain is not, and it is the part we will not gamble with. So we build your new site on a fresh address instead of moving this domain.
Your current email keeps working, as long as you keep your existing domain running where it is. If you later stop paying for that old domain, the mailbox on it stops with it. That trade is yours to make.
If you need this exact domain to carry your email and your new site, we are honestly not the right service for you, and we would rather say so than risk your inbox.
Your site on www, your email untouched
We put your site on www. your domain, hosted in your own Cloudflare. We do not move your domain or change any of its settings, so your email carries on exactly as it is.
After the build, you add one record at the company where you bought your domain (we show you exactly what to type), and set your plain domain to forward to the www address.
Before we use your domain
We will point your domain at your new OutrightSite build. Once it goes live, your current website will stop showing and your new one takes its place. That is the switch you want, but it does replace what is there now.
You told us you do not use email on this domain, so there is nothing there for us to affect. If that is not right, stop here and choose a fresh domain instead.
This domain isn't on your Cloudflare yet
For us to build on your domain, it needs to be added to the Cloudflare account you just connected. It is free and takes a few minutes:
- Open Cloudflare → Add a site, enter your domain, and choose the Free plan.
- Cloudflare shows you two nameservers. Copy them.
- Sign in wherever you bought the domain (GoDaddy, 123-reg, and so on) and replace its nameservers with those two.
- It can take a little while to switch over. When it is done, press Check again below.
Already added it and picked this domain when you made your Cloudflare token? Give it a minute, then check again.
Review and pay
Here is the site you designed. One payment, then it is yours, with no monthly rent. Next, we put it live in your own accounts: it takes about 10 minutes, and we guide every click.
If you cannot finish the setup, you get a full refund on request, any time until your site is live on your domain.
You will be taken to Stripe to pay securely, then we guide you through putting your site live in your own accounts.

It is yours 🎉
The site, the code, the hosting and the domain are all in your accounts. We keep a backup of your build files for 30 days in case you need help, then delete them.
One step for you, at your domain company
- Sign in where you bought (GoDaddy, 123-reg, IONOS, Namecheap, Fasthosts and so on) and open its DNS settings.
- Add a record: type CNAME, name www, value . Leave everything else as it is, so your email keeps working. If your domain's DNS is in Cloudflare, set the record's proxy status to DNS only (grey cloud), not Proxied, or your secure padlock cannot be issued.
- Set to forward to (often called "domain forwarding" or "redirect").
Your site appears at once the record is in, usually within the hour. These steps are in your handover email too.
To edit your site by chatting: unzip website.zip, open the folder in Claude Code (the Code tab in the Claude app), and describe your change in plain English. The CLAUDE.md inside guides Claude, and it publishes your change to your own Cloudflare once you approve it. Keep the folder somewhere safe; it is your site.
Your caretaker pack (CLAUDE.md) is how you edit your site by chatting. Open Claude Code at claude.ai/code (or the Code tab in the Claude app), connect it to your site's GitHub repo, and describe your change in plain English. Your CLAUDE.md already lives in that repo and guides Claude automatically. Keep a copy handy too.
